Thanks man. It should be a great meet. We usually get competitors from all over the country for this one. Making some awesome new equipment for it as well. We have a set of farmers walk implements made out of oxygen tanks, and a new circus dumbell that we will be breaking out

Got some very cool awards ordered for the top 3 in each division. I think the Chamionship sculptures are AWESOME, and the sculptures for 2nd and 3rd are very cool as well. I know nobody competes for the trophy, but these will be a very nice addition to a guy's "I love me" room.

Wow! What a day. Friday, Conan and I spent the day doing the logistics and setup for what have been the greatest contest setup on earth. Then during the rules meeting came the downpour that lasted forever, blowing into the hanger and changing things up a bit. But we adjusted the best we could, and it ended up being a decent show. The only event change we had to make was doing just a straight farmers instead of a farmers sled medley. The event went longer than I had hoped, but we were still done in 5 hours of what was supposed to be our start time, but give the circumstances, that isnt too bad. Thanks to everyone that made this contest happen. Thank you to Conan, who made this show possible. If he hadnt stepped in as a co-promoter, I would have retired after last year. To my family who made the raffle and concession stand possible to make this just a little more than just a standard contest. To all the helper, spotters, loaders etc. You guys are what made the transition from the original plan go so smooth. Without guys like you willing to step up, meets would not occur. To Dan for letting us use his great facility. To all of our sponsers going above and beyond this year to make the competitor bags, raffle, and prize obags something special. And to all of our competitors for putting on a great show and not belly aching about the circumsrances. The contest went on, and what a contest it was! The battle was fierce in every class. HEre are the results:
MAsters: 1st Dave Kraft 2nd John Obrien 3rd Todd Lowenstein 4th Tim Nassen 5th Lance Foster 6th Rick NEwton LW 1st Jeff Howenstein 2nd Zac Craig 3rd Sal Badali 4th Mike Prewitt 5th Alan English 6th Corey Kenkle MW 1st Tyler Schuman 2nd Chris Anderson 3rd Mac Capello 4th Justin Cantwell 5th Jesse Jobe 6th Jason Oyler 7th Micah Rupp 8th Steven Slausen HW: 1st Justin Wheeler 2nd Chuck Kasson 3rd Jeremy Moore 4th Adam Weaver 5th Jason Fike 6th Nate Butler 7th Billy Duncan 8th Ramses Arceo 9th Max Pippa )withdrew due to injury) Well, we raised $4000 for the kids at Camp Quality. One of the highlights of the day was a mother bringing her son, I would guess around 10 years old, over to thank me for doing the show. He said he has attended Camp Quality as a camper for 4 years now. Kind of reminds us of why we do this. ET |
