Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GORD), gastric reflux disease, or acid reflux disease is defined as chronic symptoms or mucosal damage produced by the abnormal reflux of stomach acid to the esophagus. A typical symptom is heartburn. This is commonly due to transient or permanent changes in the barrier between the esophagus and the stomach. This can be due to incompetence of the lower esophageal sphincter, transient lower esophageal sphincter relaxation, impaired expulsion of gastric reflux from the esophagus, or a hiatal hernia. A different type of acid reflux which produces respiratory and laryngeal manifestations is laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR), also called extraesophageal reflux disease (EERD). Unlike GERD, LPR is unlikely to produce heartburn, and is thus sometimes called silent reflux.

"THE BEST THING TO HIT THE HEALTH FOOD/FITNESS INDUSTRY!"
"Hi Mac and the gang! I wanted to write you and add my testimonial... since I was diagnosed with GERD, I have had to take medication DAILY!! Could not miss a day or it would be like I was swallowing fire every time I ate. Just wanted to say, since I have been using your Egg Whites, I have not needed ANY medication!! Not to mention, the medication was very expensive, Egg Whites are saving me money on top of saving my dream to compete!!! I'm so excited for the show season to start!! Your amazing product will be with me all the way!! Liquid Egg Whites are the ONLY way to go for any competitor, weight loss, or health/digestive reasons!!! Thank you so much!! Liquid Eggs can be used anyone who wants the BEST protein, and I only use the best!!! This is my Egg Whites story... I saw the advertisements for Egg Whites International in Oxygen Mag and thought, "Ewwwww, egg whites? Aren't they slimy and gross?" That was before the Europa Orlando show 2010 where I met JD and the gang. He patiently explained what egg whites were, gave me a sample, and I was hooked!! I am a Firefighter/EMT and I have a hectic schedule, so getting proper amounts of protein wasn't always easy. I weighed in at 176 pounds, but I wanted to compete in Bikini. Now, how to figure out how to have the proper diet... this is where the amazing Egg Whites International came in to play. Being able to mix them into anything, it made getting my protein so easy, and if I wasn’t in the fire station to make my food, I could just grab a shake and take it with me!! I decided that competing next year was too far away and my impatience won out. I decided to enter the Flex Bikini Model search in Las Vegas at the Olympia. But, sadly, I am a bit of a procrastinator. I started training for the show July 12, 2010. Like I said, I was very heavy for my almost 5'3" height, 176 lbs. So a huge change in diet, and training began. Thank goodness for Egg Whites International! After a night in the hospital due to chest pains, it was discovered I had Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease. It is so very painful! So many foods and spices affect it, I kept thinking, "How am I going to eat right for this show, if everything I eat burns me up?" Again, Egg Whites International saved the day. I just can't say enough about how wonderful they are, as well as for my 5-year-old son, who wants to beat his daddy's World Raw Bench Press record. He loves protein shakes made with Egg Whites! I even put them in my coffee! I tell everyone I can about them, because I love them and they are an absolute necessity to any weight loss or competition regimen! I will never be without my Egg Whites! They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I have attached some of my before and after pics. If I keep writing on how much I love this product and how much I have come to depend on them I could write several pages or a short book! lol Again, thank you so much for this amazing, wonderful product that is the best thing to hit the health food/fitness industry!!!" Cystic Fibrosis (also known as CF) is a common hereditary disease which affects the entire body, causing progressive disability and often early death. The name cystic fibrosis refers to the characteristic scarring (fibrosis) and cyst formation within the pancreas, first recognized in the 1930s. Difficulty breathing is the most serious symptom and results from frequent lung infections that are treated, though not cured, by antibiotics and other medications. A multitude of other symptoms, including sinus infections, poor growth, diarrhea, and infertility result from the effects of CF on other parts of the body.
The hallmark symptoms of cystic fibrosis are salty tasting skin, poor growth and poor weight gain despite a normal food intake, accumulation of thick, sticky mucus, frequent chest infections and coughing or shortness of breath. The poor growth in children typically presents as an inability to gain weight or height at the same rate as their peers and is occasionally not diagnosed until investigation is initiated for poor growth. "THE DOCTOR WAS TRULY ASTONISHED"
"In June 2009, my son Timothy was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). At the time, he was 4 months shy of his third birthday. Over the next several months, my wife and I learned as much as we could about this horrible disease. CF is a genetic disease that affects not only pulmonary (lung) function but in many cases, affects the bodies’ ability to absorb nutrients from food. In particular, pancreatic enzymes do not enter the intestines to help break down food. As such, many CF patients have difficulty gaining and maintaining body weight, even though they take enzymes with meals to help them with their nutrient intake. Additionally, we learned that maintaining a healthy weight had a direct affect on the pulmonary function of CF patients. Armed with this knowledge, we were more determined than ever to make sure Timothy gained weight. In our case, Timothy’s CF doctors were recommending that he take in 2000 calories a day. Timothy did a fairly good job of maintaining his weight throughout the summer and fall. However, in November 2009, he became sick and lost 3 pounds in 3 days. While this does not seem like much, it was nearly 10% of his overall body weight. With the help of numerous doses of antibiotics, he was able to overcome his sickness, but was left at about 33 pounds at Christmas. Throughout January and February 2010, we gave him as much food and weight gain supplements (usually high calorie children’s shakes) as we could get him to consume. During this time, he was able to gain back just one pound, leaving him at 34 pounds. In early March, he was hospitalized for 3 days with a respiratory infection. Although he was sick, the ability to take intravenous antibiotics allowed him to not become as sick. As such, he did not lose any weight during his hospitalization. During this time, a friend of mine mentioned that he had begun using liquid egg whites from Egg Whites International. He thought that it might help Timothy to gain weight. I immediately bought them and began to use them the day he got home from the hospital. He typically takes in 1 to 1 ˝ cups per day, usually in his cereal or milk. After just two weeks, we returned to the doctor. Timothy had already gained 1 ˝ pounds. The doctor was truly astonished and asked us what we were doing to gain weight. We were honestly able to say that the only change we had made was to introduce Egg Whites into his daily diet. The dietician was consulted and was extremely concerned about our feeding him egg whites. She stated that raw egg whites contained particles that would actually keep him from absorbing nutrients. We explained to her that the product we were using was pasteurized and homogenized. However, she had to look for herself, so she went to the Egg Whites International website while we remained in the examining room. She immediately came back and said that there was no problem with us continuing to feed it to Timothy as it was completely safe, but that she did not necessarily agree with us that it was the reason for his weight gain. Last week, Timothy returned to the doctor for his regular quarterly checkup. We were truly astonished by his weight. During the three months that he had been eating egg whites from Egg Whites International, he gained 4 pounds - more than he gained all last year. We truly believe that his weight gain can be attributed to including egg whites in his daily diet. We have begun communicating this to others within the CF community and can only hope that others have the same great results that Timothy has seen!" - Tim Allen / Customer and Timothy's dad |

"THANKS FOR HELPING ME FEEL GOOD AGAIN!"
"I was diagnosed with Leukemia and Sarcoidosis back in 2005/2006. Both of these diseases can cause major digestive issues. I was put on a lot of medication, including steriods. All of this made it sometimes impossible for me to eat. Then when I could eat I had the issue of trying to maintain a healthy weight, due to the steroids. So what was I to do? I called Mac, shared with him what was going on with my health and he suggested I try egg whites. I have been using egg whites for years. Even when I was going through chemotherapy, I could drink the eggs whites. My blood counts have leveled out I am even able to maintain a healthy weight, on steriods. I cannot thank Mac enough for getting me to use egg whites. I am able to stay in shape, 5'5" 125lbs, even when I cannot or do not exercise regularly. Not bad for a 50+ year old woman. Thanks for helping me feel good again!" - Kelley Jennings / Customer |
Endometriosis, is a debilitating medical condition in females in which endometrial-like cells appear and flourish in areas outside the uterine cavity, most commonly on the ovaries. The uterine cavity is lined by endometrial cells, which are under the influence of female hormones. These endometrial-like cells in areas outside the uterus (endometriosis) are influenced by hormonal changes and respond similarly as do those cells found inside the uterus. Symptoms often worsen in time with the menstrual cycle.
Endometriosis is typically seen during the reproductive years; it has been estimated that it occurs in roughly 5% to 10% of women. Symptoms may depend on the site of active endometriosis. Its main but not universal symptom is pelvic pain in various manifestations. Endometriosis is a common finding in women with infertility. Source: Wikipedia

"YOU CHANGED MY LIFE"
"Good afternoon JD - Thanks for your time on the phone today, I really appreciate it. It is not often enough that we find something in our lives that can truly change it for the better... but that is exactly what Egg Whites International did for me, and continues to do. I was misdiagnosed with IBS for 6 years but had extreme, Stage IV Endometriosis. I met you and Mac at the Natural Products Expo in Anaheim in 2007. Your liquid egg whites changed my life immediately. Not only did I lose weight (happy side effect) but I lost inches around my upper waist and rib cage (can you say bloat?) and I could eat again. I had to give up dairy and had to add more protein to my diet and every supplement I tried made me uncomfortable or didn't taste good. I started cooking with your liquid egg whites and added 2 or 3 pumps to my smoothie every day, sometimes 2x a day. You changed my life and the lives of many of my friends, clients, and even strangers that I've met." Sincerely, - Michelle Mullen / Customer |
Gastroparesis
Gastroparesis, also called delayed gastric emptying, is a medical condition consisting of a paresis (partial paralysis) of the stomach, resulting in food remaining in the stomach for a longer period of time than normal. Normally, the stomach contracts to move food down into the small intestine for digestion. The vagus nerve controls these contractions. Gastroparesis may occur when the vagus nerve is damaged and the muscles of the stomach and intestines do not work normally. Food then moves slowly or stops moving through the digestive tract. "THEY ARE REALLY FANTASTIC"
"I have been using your product for about a week now and I wanted to let you know how great it has been. I am probably a little different than your average user. I have a severe pain from a spine injury in the upper back. This means that any pressure from having a full stomach sends me into 10 out of 10 pain. I also have gastroparesis which, in short, is a paralyzed stomach. That in itself causes more pain and solid foods are not digested properly which can lead to all sorts of problems including diabetes. Liquids on the other hand are easily passed on to the small intestine even in someone with gastroparesis. For most of my life I have tried to be health conscious and have tried just about every protein powder on the market. Some were OK, most were not. I was pretty skeptical about the claim that your egg whites don't have a taste. My first drink was the pure egg whites and I have to be honest they weren't bad, but they weren't good either. I never intended on drinking them by themselves though, so I wasn't put off. My next drink was in a shake and your claims are true. I did not taste the eggs one bit. They really are fantastic. Although they are more pricey than protein powders, they are well worth it. Shake Recipe (Can't get much healthier): - 8 oz Egg Whites - 1 cup Frozen Organic Blueberries/Blackberries/Raspberries - 1 cup Organic Plain Probiotic Yogurt Fat Free - 1 tblsp Omega 3 Oil - 1 dropper Stevia liquid sweetner 37g Protein 35 Carbs 14 Fat 450 Calories - Jason H. / Customer |
Gastric By-Pass Surgery
Gastric bypass procedures (GBP) are any of a group of similar operations used to treat morbid obesity — the severe accumulation of excess weight as fatty tissue and the health problems (comorbidities) it causes. Bariatric surgery is the term encompassing all of the surgical treatments for morbid obesity, not just gastric bypasses, which make up only one class of such operations.
A gastric bypass first divides the stomach into a small upper pouch and a much larger, lower "remnant" pouch and then re-arranges the small intestine to allow both pouches to stay connected to it. Surgeons have developed several different ways to reconnect the intestine, thus leading to several different GBP names. Any GBP leads to a marked reduction in the functional volume of the stomach, accompanied by an altered physiological and psychological response to food. The resulting weight loss, typically dramatic, markedly reduces comorbidities. The long-term mortality rate of gastric bypass patients has been shown to be reduced by up to 40%; however, complications are common and surgery-related death occurs within one month in 2% of patients. "MUCH QUICKER RECOVERY TIME!"
"I have been an avid 'jogger' for a lot of years. Two years ago I decided to try a marathon. I have been hooked ever since. After my long runs I noticed I would have lots of soreness. I have had three knee surgeries and as long as I keep my weight down, don't have problems, but my recovery time from my long runs was brutal. My oldest child is 23 and ever since that pregnancy I have never been able to eat red meat. Because I am a horrible cook I would be lucky to eat anything at all. I had to start physical therapy for a car accident and the physical therapist asked me about my protein intake. I had just come from the San Antonio Marathon and had ordered my first batch of "Egg Whites International". I started my routine with 4 pumps of egg whites with soy milk in the morning and the same in the evening. I drink low fat chocolate soy milk and with the protein it tastes like a milk shake, without all the calories. I quickly noticed a difference in my skin and hair and I recovered quite quickly from the accident. The PT told me it was the increase in protein that made all the difference. When I began to run again, I noticed much quicker recovery time and just all over better health. I am a petite person and always wore a size 4 or 6. Since I started with the protein I seem to snack less and have lots more energy. I am able to run longer and more often. My body has changed quite a bit. I have not lost one pound but now am a perfect size 0. It really helps my knees to stay thin. I thought it would difficult to drink the egg whites, but with no taste and my chocolate milk, it's as if I'm having a snack. I think this is one of the best things I've ever done for my health and would highly recommend it for anyone who doesn't get enough protein in their diet. Now I don't worry when I skip meals and such. I am such a poor eater, but I never get sick. I am healthier than I've ever been." - Melissa Bautista / Marathon Athlete |
