This is my Egg Whites story…
I saw the advertisements for Egg Whites International in Oxygen Mag and thought, “Ewwwww, egg whites? Aren’t they slimy and gross?” That was before the Europa Orlando show 2010 where I met JD and the gang. He patiently explained what egg whites were, gave me a sample, and I was hooked!! I am a Firefighter/EMT and I have a hectic schedule, so getting proper amounts of protein wasn’t always easy. I weighed in at 176 pounds, but I wanted to compete in Bikini. Now, how to figure out how to have the proper diet… this is where the amazing Egg Whites International came in to play.
Being able to mix them into anything, it made getting my protein so easy, and if I wasn’t in the fire station to make my food, I could just grab a shake and take it with me!!
I decided that competing next year was too far away and my impatience won out. I decided to enter the Flex Bikini Model search in Las Vegas at the Olympia. But, sadly, I am a bit of a procrastinator. I started training for the show July 12, 2010. Like I said, I was very heavy for my almost 5’3″ height, 176 lbs. So a huge change in diet, and training began. Thank goodness for Egg Whites International!
After a night in the hospital due to chest pains, it was discovered I had Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease. It is so very painful! So many foods and spices affect it, I kept thinking, “How am I going to eat right for this show, if everything I eat burns me up?” Again, Egg Whites International saved the day. I just can’t say enough about how wonderful they are, as well as for my 5-year-old son, who wants to beat his daddy’s World Raw Bench Press record. He loves protein shakes made with Egg Whites!
