I just wanted to thank you for your part in what has been a life changing transition for my now 7 year old son. Jared has a rare neurological syndrome that prevented growth since he was 3.5 years old. He will be under the care of an Endocrinologist and on medication for the rest of his life. The good news is that with medication his syndrome is manageable and hewill have a relatively normal life/lifespan.
Six months into his medication, his growth was very good (3.5+ inches in 6 months) but his weight had not caught up to his growth. He was gaunt with dark circles under his eyes and you could count every rib because he was so thin. His Endocrinologist had suggested I do anything, including giving him ice cream and/or milk shakes with a side of French fries multiple times per day in order for him to gain weight. She said weight gain was critical for his brain function given his medication and rapid increase in height. She advised me that the easiest way to get calories into him would be through liquid (suggesting PediaSure or Ensure – chock full of chemicals but a better alternative than no weight gain).
I didn’t feel comfortable going the ice cream route or chemical supplements multiple times/day, so I started doing research. I came across your company and read the testimonials. I purchased six half-gallons that I used over the next five months. In the one year my son has been on his medication, he has grown 8.5 inches and gained 12 pounds (going from 39.5″ at age 6 to 48” at age 7 and 39 to 51 lbs.). Half of the height increase and 8 of the 12 pounds in weight gain has come since he started on your egg whites!
I have just re-ordered and plan to double his intake. I had been giving him 4-6 ounces/day mixed into his milk and dipped with his waffle that I grill (French toast style). His doctor is astounded. We don’t discredit the medication – but the healthy weight gain wasn’t there until I incorporated the egg whites from your company.
The “before” picture on top was taken immediately following an MRI Jared had which gave the results of his brain abnormality and 3 weeks prior to starting his daily injections. The “after” picture below was taken 13 months later.
Jared was almost 6.5 years old in the “before” but looks like he’s only 4. Comparing to where his head lines up with the “C” on Chuckie’s shirt shows the 8 inches in growth over the past year.
